A Message from the Headteacher
Welcome
to Holbrook Primary School.
The
primary years are exciting and challenging and the staff
and governors aim to provide a happy, secure and well
organised environment in which the children are valued
as individuals and helped to achieve their full potential.
We
take our responsibilities seriously. Everyone at Holbrook
Primary School will work hard to ensure that your child
has the best possible education. I believe that a primary
school should be a place of challenge, opportunity,
achievement and enjoyment. It is my job to ensure that
Holbrook Primary School is such a place.
It
is not only the formal education of your child that
we want to ensure. We want children to leave Holbrook
Primary School self-reliant and confident, able to articulate
feelings and ideas and make sound decisions based on
what they have learned whilst with us. We also attach
great importance to the development of social skills
and relationships, both with their peers and all members
of the wider community.
We
are aware that we join parents in the education process
and continue the work already begun at home. We believe
that children flourish in a school when links between
home and school are active. We promise to keep you fully
informed of your child's progress and to suggest ways
in which you can offer support.
We
hope you can picture your child at our school, gaining
a successful education in an environment where your
child can thrive both academically and socially. If
you would like to find out more we would be delighted
to welcome you to the school at any time.
We
believe that we have an open and friendly school. We
do hope that you will have an enjoyable and worthwhile
association with us.
