What do some people believe about God?
On our first week back we learnt that Joseph Maurice Ravel (1875 - 1937) was a French composer, pianist and conductor and is regarded as one of France's greatest composers.
In block 1 we are following the White Rose scheme. We will be focusing on Place Value, Addition & Subtraction and Shape.
Follow this link to play a fun game whilst learning number bonds to 10!
We will also be listening to this song in class, to help us remember our number bonds to 10.
In English we are looking at these books: Little Red Riding Hood, We're Going on a Bear Hunt and Handa's Surprise. We are focusing on using phonics, saying the sound and writing the word and writing clear sentences starting with a capital letter and ending with a full stop.
In our phonics lesson we will be using Sounds Write. Your child will have a Dandelion reading book to practise their sounds at home. If your child does get stuck we encourage children to "say the sounds and read the word". Please continue to ask comprehension questions about the story your child is reading. Children can change their book when they are confident and fluent with their current book
During our Jigsaw PSHE session this block, we will be focusing on 'Being me in my world'.
