This week we have focussed on our class book 'Funny Bones' by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. We have got to know the story very well and enjoy joining in with the repeated refrains "In a dark, dark town, there was a dark, dark street . . ." At the beginning of the week we took on different character roles and acted the story out. If we were not a character we used gestures to help us retell the story. Then we thought about the story structure of a beginning, middle and end. Finally we sequenced the story (that means to put it in order)as a class and then we had a go at doing it individually during free flow. We love this story!
