As part of our topic 'Marvellous Me!' we labelled the body this week. We learnt that a label tells us what something is or provides information and we thought about our name labels and washing labels on our clothes. They tell us who something belongs to or information on how to wash garments. We sat in a circle and Miss Bradshaw drew around one of us. We found this funny! We had a label between two and with our partner had to use the picture clues and our phonic knowledge to help us read the label. We then took in turns to label the body. It is displayed in our classroom for us to refer to and consolidate our learning.
What a varied week of learning! This week we have made poppies from playdough and painted egg cartons red to make our wreath, which we laid at our Remembrance Service. At the beginning of the week we learnt about those who fought and lost their lives in the war. What heroes!
