This week kicked off with our Harvest Festival assembly on Tuesday. A huge thank you for all of your donations. As you can see we had a vast amount from EYFS and KS1 which all went to the Food Bank and Mill Street Club. In maths this week we have been exploring the number 2. We realised that 2 is a pair and we spent time thinking of objects that come in pairs, like a pair of shoes. We also realised we had 2 ears, eyes, legs, eyebrows, arms and much more. We practised writing number 2 using chalks outside and representing 2 in different ways. We have been reading 'The Scarecrows Wedding' by Julia Donaldson and were joined by two scarecrows in our classroom - Betty O'Barley and Harry O'Hay. We enjoy having a chat to them during the day and will be helping them out over the forthcoming weeks with their wedding ceremony. Take a look at our writing in Phonics! Miss Bradshaw and Mrs Hacker cannot believe how well we are doing. We have been building CVC words, writing and reading using these sounds - a, i, m, s, t, n, p, o. We have also been practising performing a poem called 'Nut Tree'. Another busy week of learning!
