Dogs, Denim and a wedding says it all!
A busy last two days of term. We brought our learning about 'The Scarecrows' Wedding' together and celebrated with a wedding between Betty O'Barley and Harry O'Hay. We all took on roles from characters within the story from geese to Reginald Rake. We had everything on the list including curtain rings and pink flowers. Do you like our bunting that we decorated especially?
On the last day of term we wore denim to show our support and raise money for Alzheimer's Support's Denim4Dementia. It was great fun to see all the adults and children in their denim. In the afternoon, Grant from the Mill Street club came to visit and brought along therapy dogs Higby and Dottie. They were very placid and we loved showering them with fuss and cuddles.
We have loved our first term at Holbrook and not only have we learnt so much, we have also made new friends, worked as a team, gained independence and have grown in confidence. We are tired but Miss Bradshaw is proud of us and all we have achieved so far.
Happy half term!
