Week Nine
Welcome to Week Nine!
We have really enjoyed learning about friction this week. We investigated which material created the most friction. We then explored using magnets and sorted different objects in to magnetic and not magnetic.
In English this week, we have started to look at instructional texts. We started the week by identifying the different features of this text. We then listened to and followed Miss Blake's instructions to make a yummy jam sandwich. We then spend the next day writing instructions to teach Mrs Willis how to make a jam sandwich.
In Guided Reading this week, we have become 'Predicting Pips.' We are still reading 'George's Marvellous Medicine.' We have predicted what we thought would happen next in the story and we also thought about what we would include in a medicine if we were to make one.
In Mathematics this week, Year 2 children carried on using a column method to subtract. Year 3 children used different methods to divide.
