Week Ten
Welcome to Week 10! This is the last week of Block 2.
We have really enjoyed learning about our Science topic 'What is a force and how do magnets work?' This week in Science, we have sorted materials into magnetic and not magnetic. We then carried out an investigation to test magnet strength. We learnt new words such as repel, attract, poles and magnetic field.
In Guided Reading, this week we became 'Inference Iggy' and we thought about how the characters were feeling in the book.
In English, we carried on learning about Instruction writing. We looked at different recipes and then helped Miss Blake to make a cup of tea in the correct order. The first attempt left Miss Blake with warm milk and no tea!
In Mathematics this week, both Year 2 and Year 3 children have explored using money.
