Week Two
Week 2 in Nightingale Class has been fantastic!
Mrs White is very proud of us as we are being super learners. This week we have been finding out about Sunny the meerkat from the book Meerkat Mail. He had a great time travelling around to see his extended mongoose family and writing postcards home.
In Mathematics, we have been learning about the place value of different numbers and what each digit means. You could support your child with this by downloading the knowledge organiser. We have also completed our first multiplication table test with the year two's. We are going to be multiplication champions this year. Remember to visit Mrs Bridgwater to get a pack of games to help us learn our Multiplication tables.
In R.E., we have been looking at the stories about Jesus 'Calming the Storm' and 'Healing the Leper'. We talked about how he was a good friend and how he looked after others. We then shared how we are good friends and look after other people or our pets. It has been great sharing our stories about our pets and families. Some of us feed, play and walk our pets. One of us helped the builders by making them treats and we are very kind to our family members.
In P.E., we started Martial Arts. We are very enthusiastic in this. In our other session we have been practising our ball skills so we can use these to play different games.
We have also been lucky enough to have some brilliant fun on the new play equipment. It is awesome!
