Inspiring, Nurturing, Challenging every learner to achieve their full potential

Welcome

Equalities information

Holbrook is a very special place to be; our team work proactively to ensure that children’s and family’s needs are well understood and that a personalised approach, rooted in strong relationships is taken at all times.  At Holbrook, our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and help to provide an inclusive environment where, as set out by our mission, all children are inspired, nurtured and challenged. Our values should help us fulfil this mission: Aspiration; Curiosity; Collaboration; Respect; Resilience; Innovation.

Holbrook Governor and Staff aspirations consider equality and diversity and set out that:

  • Diversity is valued and celebrated
  • We use our best endeavours to overcome barriers to learning
  • We strive to ensure that pupils from our school are not disadvantaged

Our school rules underpin all we do and expect of our school community:

  • Ready
  • Respectful
  • Safe

We have 4 equality objectives at Holbrook:

1. For the attendance of potentially vulnerable children to be at least in line with the attendance for similar pupils nationally.

2. To promote and maintain the best possible outcomes for children in receipt of the Pupil Premium so that they are at least in line with national average for similar pupils.

3. For Holbrook children and staff to feel valued and accepted to be their authentic self at school for example through their hairstyles, appearance, sexuality and a personalised approach to the uniform policy.

4. For children’s experiences at Holbrook to give them the awareness and confidence to challenge stereotypes relating to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race and religion.
