week 10
Highlights of the week!
This week we have continued to look at local geography, we completed a map of the school together and made a key to colour code different parts of the school such as classrooms, this was a really fun and engaging lesson. We have also been learning the cardinal and inter cardinal points by playing games outside.
In maths, we have started looking at area, we have used different activities to learn about area including making shapes with different sized sticky notes and creating our own shapes. The children have enjoyed learning about area and enjoyed the challenging questions.
In English, we have been looking at recounts. We have been writing a fictional recount of events that happened on bad cinema experience. The children needed to make up a cinema and something that went wrong (for example, cinema staff giving them the wrong popcorn and having an allergic reaction) in order to write an eventful complaint to the cinema. The children have enjoyed doing this and found it funny.
