Week Two
Welcome to Week 2! We have had a busy week.
In English, we have been looking at writing explanation texts. We researched the life cycle of a frog and then transferred this into an explanation text. We also looked at the life cycle of a butterfly.
In Geography, we loved learning about the different capital cities in Europe. We then looked at an atlas and found the countries on a blank map! We also really enjoyed learning about the different national flags.
In Guided Reading this week, we became Sequencing Suki's and sequenced the story of Amazing Grace.
In Mathematics this week, in Year 2, we have been looking at partitioning a number. In Year 3, we have been looking at the 8 times table and using inverse operations.
We have all been very busy rehearsing for our Nativity (Year 2 children) or our Christingle service (Year 3.)
